I was 19 years old when I began "tour of duty" with Headquarters Company 9th Marine Regiment 3rd Marine Division on 67 November. Looking back, I think it was the "Gulf of Tonkin" incident that prompted me to leave high school at the beginning of my senior year and to become a Marine. This section of our website is an effort of digging through different historical records and assembling a few of them that offer insight to the times and events that has affected so many of us.
Many of these documents are lengthy and may take some time to download depending on your internet connection.
